Flowtech instruments services offers by-pass rotameters. Flowtech offers by-pass rotameters for the measuring of rated flow of very high flow rates of liquid and gases. The rotameters will be installed in a by-pass line around an orifice plate in the main line. The differential pressure developed by the orifice plate causes a correspondence flow through the rotameter. A ranging orifice should be integral with the meter which gives proportion by pass flow to the main line flow permitting use of a %" size rotameters regardless of the size of the main pipeline. Generally such type of by-pass rotameters is used for chilled water line, cooling water line, raw water, dm water, air, nzgas, etc. Flowtech offers flanged tapping or carrier ring tapping or pipe tapping design by-pass rotameter useful where the flow measurement must be made in a hazardous area where electric power is unavailable.
