| Sumitomo, japan manufactures mechanical speed variators,sm-biester that are supplied by powerace engg. These are dry traction type, with traction synthetic ring, having built-in torque compensator, which automatically adjusts as per the load. These variators are equipped for plant wash-down conditions having special seals, epoxy paint and special breather. They provide smooth and noiseless operation. These variators are popular in pharmaceutical and food industries and effluent treatment plants. They come from 0.25 hp to 10 hp, speed variation range of 1:5, and torques up to 20,00,000 in/lbs. These variators can be combined with any type of reduction units. There is a electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic remote control for speed change. Manual speed change by a handwheel is standard.
