| Elgi electric and industries limited manufactures elgi guinault alternators conforming to iec 34-1series international standards; international electrotechnical commission, vde 0530; german standards of manufacture; british standards bs 5000 and is 4722 indian standards for rotating electrical machines. The elgi guinault brushless alternators are available in standard steel fabricated body for proper airflow distribution over core and windings. The alternators come with high efficiency aluminium alloy fan with effective airflow distribution maximizing the heat transfer and winding life. The windings of the alternators are treated with superior vacuum pressure impregnation enhancing tropicalisation and improve thermal stability. The stator winding and rotor winding are with class h insulation. Optimisation of the winding pitch results in high power weight ratio eliminating third harmonics and enhancing the performance with non-linear loads. The elgi alternators keep under check harmonic distortion at less than 4%. The alternators are available with damper winding distributed evenly at pole tips for better performance under parallel operation.
