| Ambetronics has introduced a programmable controller and recorder. The r1 800 controller is a device based on function blocks, which can be encoded and linked together to operate various control strategies. It can record data and display both on line and historical trends, thus it is best suited to operate as a recorder as well. It offers four universal control inputs [pt 100, tc or linear], four control outputs for various types of actuators [logic, analogue or motor-positioner outputs] and numerous digital i/o ports. Menu pages come for configuring inputs and outputs, performing complex mathematical calculations, implementing special control strategies, programming set point profiles, etc. There are special supervision pages also available that can be personalised by the user as per its specific requirements. Two rs 485 [or rs 232] channels with modbus communication protocol come to interface the supervisor computer and extension modules if any. Consequently, online data can be record and acquire on pc for further storage. The optional d line modules allow the economical and easy setup of remote data acquisition and control system.
