| Hass automation presents vf-6ss, designed for high-volume production, high-speed and short cycle. It comes with an innovative 12,00-rpm inline direct -drive spindle, ultra-fast tool changer, and high-speed rapids. This machine is equipped with a 12,00-rpm, 40-taper spindle that uses a unique inline, direct-drive system to couple the motor directly to the motor spindle. This system produces less vibration, heat and noise than other drive systems, providing better surface finishes, extreme thermal stability, and very quiet operation. The vf-6ss also ensures high-speed, 24-pocket side-mount tool changer that saps tools in 1.6 seconds. To reduce cycle times further and keep non-machining time to minimum, the vf-6ss uses high- pitch ball screws and high-torque servo motors for rapids of 1,200 ipm on the y and z axis, and 900 ipm on the x axis. It also includes features such as an automatic ship auger system, programmable coolant nozzle, floppy disk drive, 1 mb of program memory, visual quick code programming and a remote jog handle. The optional features include a 40-pocket side-mount tool changer, 1,00-psi through-spindle coolant, 4th and 5th-axis capabilities, 16-mb program memory, hard-disk drive with ethernet and usb support, high-speed matching software, and more.
