Sogotec machining centres are available from table stroke of 600-1400 mm in a single column design and from 2000-5000 mm in double column design. Single column vertical machining centres are available with box guide-ways as well as lm guide-ways series. Main components are made by high grade cast-iron to offer a great amount of rigidity and stability. X-y axis ball-screws are pre-tensioned and anchored at both ends to minimise the effect of thermal deformation. The spindle power ranges from 5.5 to 11 kw with spindle speed of 8000 rpm as standard with 10000 rpm optional. The machine can be offered with geneva type 20 tools armless atc as well as 24 tools arm type atc. The machine offers some of the salient features to enhance the machine overall utilisation like: swivelable control panel for operator convenience, fully enclosed metal guarding to avoid coolant splash around the machine, chip flushing system on both sides of column to flush off chips effectively, separate lubrication oil collector to avoid mix-up with cutting fluid, and spindle air blast to protect the spindle from the entry of small chip particles. These vmcs are the best choice when high productivity with precision is in prime focus.
