• Add to Inquiry Basket | Milenium technologies manufactures and offers over-running clutch [orc] units that are commonly known as unidirectional clutches or freewheel clutches. These are essentially safety elements incorporated in a mechanical transmission unit. The orcs are capable of over running at either inner race or at the outer race. They automatically disengage the driven member when direction of rotation is reversed. The orcs are completely closed units and consist of precision free-wheel clutch unit between two shafts both of which are separately supported. They are ideal solutions when high ambient temperature or contaminants pose a threat to the power transmission operation. A self-contained lubrication provides continuous oil circulation. An oil level can be visually checked and can be supplemented without shutting down the operation. The constant recirculation of oil minimized wear as rollers engage or disengage or while the clutch is in over running mode. The orcs are available either as custom-built or as import substitutes in dynamically balanced condition with vibration analysis. The over-running clutch units find application in fertilizer plants, chemical plants, mining industries and other process industries. |
