The Protection Relays for DC Applications are used in DC motor, DC generator, Rectifier sets, DC electromagnet, etc. These relays are available in three types: namely Instantaneous, Time-Delayed and Jam type. DC relay operates from "75 mV standard DC shunt" and requires auxiliary supply for its operation. Optionally the relay can be made suitable to work with user-specified shunt.
