The waste heat recovery steam generating systems is for sulphuric acid plant with 20 - 3000 tpd capacity. More than 250 installations are in operations in india and aboard. They have adopted the design of fixing the cast iron gills on steel tubes with shrink fitting to avail of both the benefits i.E., lighter section of steel to withstand the pressure and cost iron to with steel corrosion resistant as the material exposed to gases up to 11000c.
