Kerb konus has introduced a wide range of anchor, mini anchor serrated rivet nuts for sheet metal applications, in collaboration with kerb-konus-vertriebs-gmbh, germany. These are available in sizes ranging from m3 to m8 for sheet thickness from 0.5 to 5.0 mm. These rivet nuts are universally applicable and offers following advantages over conventional welding nuts:
- easy and quick installation;
- low energy costs;
- low investment for installation method;
- eliminates expensive welding equipment;
- eliminates the costs for consumable required for welding method;
- no air pollution;
- no distortion of inserts after installation;
- strong, clean, reusable permanent threads;
- sustains high torque loads;
- very high pull-out strengths of inserts;
- withstand vibrations without loosening;
- cost effective;
- can be supplied in galvanised, yellow chrome plated conditions;
- anchor may be installed into plated parts; and
No cleaning of internal threads or repairs because of surface damages required.
