Features of the cartridge heater: the watlow firerod[r] heater provide heat transfer, uniform temperatures and resistance to oxidation and corrosion even at high temperatures. Watlow firerod offers the highest watt density and longest life in the industry. Performance capabilities of the cartridge heaters: part temperatures to 760°c; and watt densities to 400 w/in2. Efficient distribution of heat to the sheath is assured by the nickel-chromium resistance wire that is precisely wound and centred in the unit. Metallurgically bonded conductor pins ensure trouble free electrical continuity. Incoloy sheath resists corrosion and oxidation. Inative swaged lead design protects leads from failure due to flexing. Superior lead wire insulations provide high temperature withstanding capability. Watlow firerod heaters are ul and csa approved.
