Hydraulic indexers comes with both vertical and horizontal mounting versions. These indexers are mainly used in special purpose machines. Smaller diameter tables like diameter 200 mm and 255 mm are also available in pneumatic version. The number of indexing positions can be selected in the divisor of 72. Product range available includes like 2,4, 6, 8,12, 24, 36 stations indexing . Once selected the number of indexing station it remains fixed and can not be altered. This table uses three-piece hirth couplings for more precise and accurate indexing. The accuracy of the order of 5 arc sec can be achieved over a long term due to incorporation of three-piece hirth couplings. There is no undesired face plate lifting while indexing. These tables can also be used on cnc vertical machining centre in place of nc rotary table if the application involves only fixed indexing followed by machining for a mass production of one type of component, which saves the cost for servo motor and servo amplifier. Two stations indexing table with a rectangular face plate with t slots can be used as a rotary pallet changer for travelling column vertical machining centres. The pallet change time is faster of the order of 4 sec for 180° indexing and it offers higher indexing accuracy consistently over a long term as there is no pallet and pallet mechanism is involved. This concept is also useful for special purpose machines by building a partition in the centre to separate machining area and new work-piece loading area. Productivity increases considerably without going for a separate pallet changer. |
