They are used where liquid pumped is clear or liquid without abrasive admixture and find special applications in pumping liquids with entrained gases. With a variety of materials of construction, the scope of applications of this type of pumps range from domestic to industrial, agricultural, cooling water circulation, boiler feeding, reverse osmosis plants [mineral water plants], booster application in industry, high rise buildings and mild chemical duties such as handling sea-water.
