| Penguin engineers have introduced a two-in-one stretch wrapping machine, reel wrapper cum pallet stretch wrapper. This is suitable for industries manufacturing paper, film, foils, etc, in reel form, which cannot be easily wrapped with protective wrappers manually due to their heavy weight. Using low installed power of 1.9 kw, this machine can stretch wrap reels of various sizes in width and diameter, weighing even up to 1.5 tonne. For economical consumption of the stretch film, the in-built powered pre-stretch unit stretches the lldpe stretchable cling film up to 300% before wrapping over the reel. As the reel is simultaneously rotated, a cocoon type packing with the stretch film all over the surface of the reel is obtained. This gives the reel protection from dust and moisture and ensures longer storage life at a much cheaper packing cost. This machine consists of electronic drives and, microprocessor based cycle programmer cum monitor. This can be instantaneously changed over to fully automatic pallet wrapper whenever required. When larger quantities of reels/pallets are required to be packed, or when new expansion projects are implemented, industries like above can install this machine and save enormously in packing cost, in layout cost, in time taken for packing, etc.
