| A models of bevel drive gearboxes from gears & gear drives are used chiefly to transmit power at 90° or to split power from one input drive to one, two or three output drives. The gearboxes can be used for reducing the speed or increasing the speed [specials] in tandem as a group of power takeoff devices from one common shaft. The ratios of bevel gears are standardised at 1: 1, 1.5:1 and 2: 1with hp ranges varying from 0.5 to 50 and the torque ranges from 1 kgm to 50 kgm. These devices come in four versions, viz, solid input and solid output, solid input and hollow output, hollow input and hollow output, hollow input and solid output. Components like motor flange, loose mounting feet, and arrangement for mounting encoders is also available. Bevel drive gearboxes are duly case hardened and bore ground, taper roller bearings, hardened and ground chrome moly steel output shaft, grey cast iron body and covers are utilised as the elements.
