| Gears & gear drives provides worm gear screw jacks and mechanical linear actuators. These units are essential for lifting or lowering masses in both vertical and horizontal planes. The weight to be lifted can vary in the range from 250 kg [0.25 tonne] to 15,0000 kg. [50 tons] through various frames of 0.25 t, 0.5t, 2 t, 2.5t, 5t, 10t, 20t, 35t, 50t, 100t, 150t, [t indicates tonnage]. The units give positive mechanical action, fail proof and precise positioning. Height to be lifted [or] lowered can be up to 3000mm.Two standard speeds available, viz. Normal lift and slow lift. Housing/shell is made of nodular [sg iron] casting from 5 tonne to 150 ton. For 0.5 tonne and 1-ton models, aluminum shells and covers are used. 2 ton and 2.5 tonne are made of" grey iron castings. There are two types, viz. Lifting screw rod with the stationary head. [translating screw], rotating screw rod and moving nut. Both types have two further design possibilities of design a upward and design b downward. Other facility that is available is that all the jacks can be used on sideways [or] angular ways also.
