• Add to Inquiry Basket | Orton engineering pvt ltd provides circular lifting magnets, which are extremely convenient and economical, and find wide application in handling different kinds of scrap such as pig-iron, steel-turning, ingots, stabs, cut pieces plates, channels beams, etc. Lifting capacity of the magnet depend upon the size of magnet, power rating, shape and size and typical bulk density of scrap material, amount of the load in direct contact with pole-faces, storage-distribution and piling of scrap, temperature of scrap material and above all, the skill of the crane operator.
the magnet when influenced by air gaps between loose pieces of scrap increases the overall efficiency and achieves optimum lifting capacity with ease. Hence, the circular lifting magnet has a large diameter to overcome the effect of air-gaps introduced by loose scrap, but lifting capacity is reduced if the scrap material has a porous characteristic and containing high percentage of carbon. The carbon content reduced the magnetic property of the product.
