| Esab india manufactures a range of welding consumables among which the ok 48.20 is the latest generation extra low hydrogen basic coated electrode for welding fabrication of plain carbon steels. This electrode has been developed recently in india with a very enthusiastic response from users. Ok 48.20 basic coated electrode has advanced features superior to conventional aws e 7018 electrode in terms of better mechanical properties as well as exceptionally low hydrogen content of 4 ml/100 g, very little spatter, mitre beads and other welder friendly features. The basic coated electrode coating contains very low moisture and the weld metal deposited using ok 48.20 electrode is resistant to failure in case of dynamic loading as well as tri-axial stressing. This electrode is approved by leading inspection agencies like lrs, abs, bv, dnv, etc and are applicable for welding of boiler, pressure vessels, storage tanks, pipes, railway coaches, automobile bodies, casting repair, etc.
