| Water service unions produced by deublin of usa can be used to supply cold water to ink vibrator and chill rolls of high speed web offset presses. As modern web offset presses operate at speeds such as 1000- 1600 fpm, it results in frictional heat build-up. Consequently, the ink rolls transmit this heat to the ink fountain making it soupy, hereby, averting uniform coverage to the rolls. These rotating unions supply water into the ink vibrator rolls and control the temperature of the ink ensuring proper viscosity. The wear resistant silicon carbide seals and heavy duty ball bearings enable the unions to operate at high speeds. These seals are keyed into a counter bore, which ensures easy replacement of worn out seals and on-the field service.
