Jyoti ceramic industries pvt. Ltd. Manufactures zirconox. The product is a rare earth stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal ceramic. The product has a high density [6.20 gm/cc]. It lasts around 160 times longer than glass, 8-9 times than zta, 6-8 times than zirconium silicate and 15 times than mgo stabilized zirconia milling beads. The products have some unique features like, they are glossy, satin smooth in surface finish and comparatively nonabrasive due to their low coefficient of friction. The product is also non-contaminative, non-toxic, non-radioactive, non-magnetic, chemically inert and resistant to all acids and alkalis except hydrofluoric acid.
