Fluidyne offers genset fuel consumption monitors for gensets from 15 to 1,500 hp range. For low hp engines using plunger or rotary fuel injector pumps a compact model is available which can be used for engines in the range of 15-250 hp. For larger engines in the range of 50-1,500 hp another model is available which can be used with all makes of engines including cummins pt systems. Compatibility with cummins pt fuel system is a unique feature of this product. These can be used for fuels such as hsd/sko/ldo and hsd + sko mixtures as well. The mechanical hour meter normally provided on any engine is dependent on engine rpm and does not measure the true hours the engine clocks. Fluidyne fuel consumption monitor also provides a crystal based hour meter, which totalizes actual engine run hours. Gravity head from day tank is not essential for operation and monitors can be used as effectively on negative heads. The monitors provide digital display of fuel with a resolution of 0.1 litre and run hour with a resolution of 0.01 hr. The displays are self-powered by an internal lithium battery and the unit as such does not require any kind of external power, which is a big advantage in powerhouse working environments.
