Sivananda offers an indigenous dedicated oil test system for the measurement of oil loss angle, resistivity and dielectric constant [as per is 6262-1971, is 6103-1971 and is 335-1972] of chemical oils used in electrical appliances such as transformer capacitors, circuit breakers, cables, etc. Siva oil test system comprises oil loss angle meter model mlo- i d for tan delta and dielectric constant measurement, million megohm meter model ls-3b for resistivity, three terminal oil cell, heating chamber, standard resistor and standard capacitor as its accessories. The system is fully protected against short circuit, wrong selection of ranges and wide supply voltage fluctuations. It has a minimum tan delta resolution of 0.0001 and resistivity measurement up to 62000 x 10e12 ohm cm. Higher tan delta resolution are available in other models. This system consists of complete solid state circuitry using the state of the art technology. The instrument conforms to international standards and has been accepted all over the country.
