| The new cn-ub-280lx- sb coaxial protective adapter with n-connectors by phoenix contact protects antenna connections on terrestrial transceiver systems from transient overvoltages. With a transmission bandwidth of 3 ghz in the 50 ohms system, this component is suitable for protecting hf systems puch as mobile radios, mobile phones and satellite navigtion systems. The high transmission performance of 700 w has been realized through the good impedance adaptation features with a threshold ratio of swr < 1.1. The protective adapter can be directly connected to the end device without additional adapter cables or it can be permanently fitted, for example in switch cabinets, using the assembly board available within the range of accessories. Coarse protection is provided by the changeable gas filled overvoltage protector in the adapter housing. This protector is able to absorb energies of up to 20 ka [pulse form 8120 µs]. These high protection capacities take account of the conditions affecting exposed antenna systems. If a coarse protection overload does occur, then it is not subsequently necessary to change the entire protective adapter because the overvoltage protection component can be easily changed with the screw located in the lid. This feature saves costs in the event of service work.
