Jay Steel Corporation supplies Duplex Steel, UNS S31803. Jay Steel Corporation provides a range of Nickel and Nickel alloys and Titanium Grades. This Duplex Steel has high strength and is corrosion resistance to various organic acids, un-organic acids, aggressive cooling waters and hydrous H2S/NaCI mixtures. It is available with equal mix of austenite and ferrite and it gives yield strength of 30 percent. Duplex Steel has tensile strengths that are marginally higher than comparable nitrogen-containing austenitic. It has high resistance to general corrosion and to pitting and cervix corrosion. Their resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in neutral chlorides is superior to that of austenitic. In high chloride acidic or moderately sour environments where hydrogen or Sulphide stress cracking is more likely, higher alloyed austenitic also needs to be considered. Impact values are high and transition temperatures of base materials vary around 50 degree C. The proportion and orientation of ferrite in welds and base materials affect toughness at sub-zero temperatures. Duplex Steel has exposure to moderate and high temperatures and includes less rapid cooling that cause embrittlement.
