[mitcon]. These energy audit can be applied for a variety of activities whereas the thermal audit comprises energy balancing, waste heat recovery, thermal control systems and energy savings study. This electrical audit comprises distribution system study, power factor study, electrical loads, loss estimation and bus voltage co-ordination. The energy-intensive equipment of the energy audit study forms a major part of manufacturing plant load, process study and optimisation, harmonic analysis and filter requirements, utilities generation, distribution and utilisation studies: primarily covering compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, cooling towers, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. The energy audit can provide audit critical reports data on equipment wise performance, areas of wastage, inefficiency and losses, performance vs. Benchmarks, establishing a norm for energy conservation, corrective action and prioritisation and investments and payback period calculation.
