| Kanthal, in sweden, offers electric heating elements reliable for furnace temperatures of up to 2,100 deg c in an oxidising atmosphere. The maximum working temperature of an electric furnace is determined, principally, by the maximum attainable temperature of its heating elements. These heating elements working in oxidising atmosphere find important place in electric furnace because of their high melting point. The straight design of the zircothal elements minimises the influences of stress and makes it a strong and reliable component. Zircothal elements have been used in furnaces and other high temperature heating devices for a number of different applications such as material properties evaluations, high temperature reactions studies, sintering of technical oxide based ceramics, heat treatment of single crystals, crystal growth and optical fibre tests. The hot zone length of these elements varies from 60 to 200 mm with terminal length 80 mm. The ranges of power and volt of these elements at 2,000 deg c are 560-1,216 w and 140-304 v, respectively.
