The system comprises a piped gas engine driving the chiller-compressor-refrigeration system.Which operate as a mini cogeneration package. The waste heat from engine cooling can be used to recover heat to produce hot water up to 95°c. Waste heat from exhaust can also be tapped to produce hot water/steam. Operating costs of tecochill are 30% less as compared to lithium bromide vapour absorption chillers and 45-50% less as compared to conventional electrically operated centrifugal chillers. Parasitic power requirements are half as compared to vapour absorption chillers. Tecochill is available in several models ranging from 125 tr up to 1000 tr single units in water cooled engines and from 40 tr up to 240 tr in air cooled models. Tecochill is ideally suited for hotels/hospitals/industries in the piped gas areas in india.
