| Tool holders, in technical collaboration with horst witte geratebau, germany, has introduced a polygon milling attachment which can mill all types of polygons out of round blanks within seconds. It can make different shapes like triangle, square, hexagon or even a pentagon from a round blank by changing few parameters. This attachment is fitted in the spindle of the machine to get the drive. Within minutes the attachments can be attached and removed from the parent machine which makes it more usable. A quick change chuck or a true chuck is fitted on the attachment to clamp or declamp round jobs quickly. A special milling cutter using replaceable standard carbide tips gets the drive from the parent machine and mills flat, triangular or hex shapes from round blanks at a speed of about 500 pieces a shift.
