| Taecl supplies high current, 125 ampere ac input and ac output current single phase solid state relays in the small size of 57 x 44 mm. These ssrs are manufactured by the tar process. This process supplies a low thermal resistance from power chip to the package. Hybrid construction has made it possible to use a small package for 125 amp current, yielding a more reliable ssr. Following are some electrical features of this single phase ssr which include: ac/ac zero crossing ssrs are designed to have input ac voltage in the range of minimum 90 v ac and maximum 280 v ac; output peak voltage can be provided up to 1,400 v with thyristor output on request; zero crossing ssr is preferred for resistive as well as capacitive load as it gives a slow rise, lowers in-rush current, which minimises mains disturbance and - rfi, and prolongs the life of the load and the ssr; for duty-cycle [on-off] base, in order to receive low voltage peaks and current peaks during switching-on, this zero cross switching ssr is preferred. This unit is available in the range of 16, 25, 40, 60, 75 and 100 amp current range. Some additional features of these single phase ssr include: a longer lifetime due to contactless system, maintenancefree, no malfunction due to vibration or shock, quick response, no degradation in performance due to dust and gas, high isolation between input and output, dielectric strength 2,500 vrms and high frequency switching. This single phase ssr finds its applications in: in the foodstuffs industry, packaging, show business, traffic signal control, automation in mechanical machines, plcs, etc.
