| Vvacuum furnace -- tribovac is manufactured by chennai-based tribology india limited . This vacuum furnace finds applications in annealing, stress relieving hardening, tempering, normalising of stainless steel and tool steels. This furnace also finds its applications in: forging, extrusion, casting, and brazing in copper, silver, nickel, and aluminium. Following are some of the hardware features of this vacuum furnace which include: the equipment is a double chamber cold wall type supplied by lindberg, usa - a leading name in the field of vacuum furnace manufacture.This vvacuum furnace eliminates the scaling and decarburisation, unavoidable in atmosphere, by shutting out atmosphere. There are some technical features of this vacuum furnace which include: radiation mode of heating ensures that the work pieces and the heating elements reach the set temperature almost simultaneously with practically minimum time lag; . This furnace has the charge basket of size 900 mm x 600 mm x 450 mm with batch quantity capacity 300 kgs; maximum . Maximum temperature of the product is 1,200 deg c with temperature uniformity of 5 deg c. Ultimate vacuum of the unit is better than 2 x10-2 torr. The quenching mediums are nitrogen, argon, and helium. The quenching with the inactive gas nitrogen enables distortion-free heat treatment. The process control is made through programmable plc and pid controllers.
