| Silicon power electronics [spe], pune, offers the highest capacity of scr-scr isolated thyristor module, 500 amp, type spss 800 pb. Being of high current [500 a], the thyristor module has specific dimensions and hardware. The thyristor module possesses 800 a rms current capacity and 1200 v piv. These thyristor modules from silicon power electronics are complemented by a full range of thyristor-diode combinations customized for specific needs of each application. These spe thyristor modules are offered in any combination of two elements of diode or thyristor units in one module. The internal contacts of the modules are carefully selected to ensure optimum conductivity between semi-conductor and bus bar thus assuring an absolute minimum voltage drop [vf] through interconnections. In addition, electrical isolation for the base plate of the thyristor module is provided by alumina based substrates [called direct copper bond], which provide good thermal conductivity yet substantial voltage isolation capability up to 2,500 v ac rms.
