| Modsonic instruments manufacturing company offers galileo-series ultrasonic flaw detectors. These are microprocessor-based with complete operation through sealed keyboard. The on-board memory enables storing and recalling twenty calibration set-ups. The values of different settings are visible on 16 x 2 alphannumeric lcd display. The series consists of two models. These are galileo-100 and galileo-100[r]. The former has 70 mm x 55 mm crt screen and weighs only 5 kg. For convenience for on-site use, the latter has large 100 x 80 mm crt screen making it ideal for shop-floor use. Gtr series of recorders can be attached with these detectors for recording and documentation of test-results. These detectors are used for non-destructive testing of materials. They can detect internal defects/imperfections like cracks, discontinuities, inclusions in metal and non metals, etc.
