• Add to Inquiry Basket | Mekaster, a pioneer of the concept of controlled tightening of bolts to create specific preload, has developed hydraulic stud tensioners for assembly of bolted joints for critical applications where accurate and uniform stud loads are needed. The other products provided by the company include up to 2700 nm mechanical torque wrenches, up to 340 nm electronic, up to 13,000 nm torque multipliers, up to 38,000 nm hydraulic, and up to 13,000 nm electrical/pneumatic torque wrenches. These mekaster hydraulic tensioners offer an accurate and uniform stud loading resulting in reliable joint with no leakage and extended maintenance period properties. These stud tensioners are useuful for applications in flanges, valves, pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, catalyst reactors, steam and gas turbines, shaft couplings, diesel engines and other heavy equipments. The company manufactures these stud tensioners from hardened and tempered special alloy steel with low friction bearing surface and hard chrome plated piston incorporated with imported anti extrusion seals and stroke indicator. Some of the salient features of these stud tensioners include hard chrome plated exposed surfaces for extended corrosion protection; side hydraulic ports resulting in miniumum installed height; and self-sealing and quick connect and disconnect couplings for fast and leak proof connection.
