- Theta Axis - For rotation of spinner tube [driven by stepper motor, drive and controller]
- Z Axis - For up/down movement of spinner tube [driven by stepper motor, drive and controller]
- Beta movement - Disc mechanism to support and rotate the scanner at a distance of 440mm [driven by geared AC induction motor, AC V/F drive]
- Alpha movement - Arm mechanism to support and rotate the above disc at distance of 1450mm [driven by geared AC induction motor, AC V/F drive]
- X Axis - Linear mechanism to move Beta disc for 590mm. [driven by stepper motor, drive and controller]
- 25 micron backlash type ball screws used for linear axes.
- Mercury contact rotating contactor used for connecting probe cables to the system data acquisition units.
