| Hindustan forging & steel industries is a manufacturer of shafts, gear blanks, blocks and rolls made in open die forging process. The company uses a 1200 t oil hydraulic open die press designed by zdas of the czech republic, manufacturers of forging equipment. Open die forging products from hindustan forging & steel industries include: shafts and hollow shafts for sugar mills, cement mill and plastic industries; wheel/gear blanks for crane manufacturing, gearbox manufacturing and material handling equipments. Forging capacity specifications: i] round shaft/rolls - diameter 150 to 600 mm, length 8500 mm, weight 10 tonnes; ii] square shaft - sides 130 to 1000 mm, length 8500 mm, weight 10 tonnes; iii] rectangular bars - sides 130 to 1000 mm, length 6000 mm, weight 10 tonnes; gear blanks - diameter 200 to 1400 mm, height 130 mm [min] and weight 5 tonnes; iv] ring forging - id 300 mm, od 1800 mm, height - 80-350 mm and weight 4 tonnes; and v] hollow shaft id 300 mm, od 600 mm, height - 2500 mm and weight 3.5 tonnes. The material type used in the open die forgings is: grade - en series, din series, aisi series.
