Product Information

Glasstech mercury switches are basically glass tube into which stationary electrodes and a pool of mercury are hermetically sealed. Glass tubes are purged of air and filled with inert gas. Tilting the tube moves the mercury pool which makes or breaks contact between the electrodes. Characteristics: high electrical capacity [up to 40 amps], low contact resistance [milliohms], excellent repeatability throughout life, and can be made in hundreds of designs.
