Emco pressmaster has launched introducedoffers a high speed gripper feeder. This high speed gripper feeder is capable of feed cycles up to 600 strokes per minute and a pitch accuracy of 0.025 mm. The high speed gripper feeder takes its drive from the press crankshaft through a bevel gearbox and a transmission shaft which translates the rotary motion into an alternative rectilinear motion through a rank and slide for the feed movement. The slide of the high speed gripper feeder is composed made of light aluminium alloy to keep inertia to a minimum and is fitted with hardened/ ground wear strips. The stationary and the moving clamps are fitted with tungsten carbide the stationary and the moving clamps are fitted for long wear. Arrangement exists for use of pilots on the tools by an adjustable lifting cam, this arrangement exits. The high speed gripper feeder is delivered complete with a bevel gearbox, and a transmission shaft with splines for vertical adjustment to suit the die height. The feeder can be fitted on any press with a crank fitted either left to right or front to back the feeder can be fitted.
