Giraffe storage system, an iso 9001-2000 certified company, for the last 25 years, manufacturing various types of storage systems. Drive in racks is also a product of those storage systems. Drive in rack requires a minimum of aisles and provides very high utilization of the available floor space. Drives in racks are used for bulk storing products the rotation of which is not a determining factor. In this system 85% of utilized portion is available for floor plan for storage purpose wherein conventional system utilizes app. 30% of floor plan which indicates an increase of 55% of utilization of available floor plan. Safety features of this storage system are as follows:
1. all the cross rail sections are bolted to the rail brackets/studs for the proper fixity to the upright frames, through anchor plate.
2. guide rail can be provided for assisting truck movement within lane which reduces the possibility of accidental damages.
3. front bottom nose can be provided at the bottom of each frontline frame to avoid the direct accidental damage to the upright.
4. two adjoining lanes are properly secured with cross bracings on the top horizontally and in the back side vertically.These are responsible for bearing and transmitting the stresses to the ground.
