| Combustion research associates manufactures flame arresters used for preventing flash back in the process lines, fuel lines, storage tanks having potential risk of accidental flame flash back. The company manufactures inline and end of line flame deflagration arresters and in line detonation arresters for all general, specific and customized requirement of the industry. The flame arrester consists of housing, flame element and connections and optional accessories [thermal shut off valve, drains valve, differential pressure alarm system, etc]. Materials: housing low copper aluminium, cast iron, and stainless steel - other materials and coatings available on request. Flame element is of ss 316, ss 304, aluminium, copper. Sizes are available from ¼" to 12" [6 to 300 mm]; other/higher sizes available on request; pressure rating standard 5-10 bar; high-pressure ratings available on request. Deflagration arresters are generally used with group i gases. These gases do not have detonation characteristics. If the gases belong to ii a, ii b and ii c group with high detonation characteristics and flame front traveling at speed exceeding mach 1 [supersonic] then detonation arresters are advised. Detonation arrestors are also advised for use in pipelines with high working temperature of the medium.
