| Bal building adhesives offers bal-ctf3, a white cement-based ceramic wall and floor tile adhesive. It is usefukl for interior and ext-rior purposes, including swimming pools. It fulfills the performance requirements of bs 5980: 1980 [uk] specification for adhesives for use with ceramic tiles and mosaics, as a type 1 adhesive with a class aa water resistance. It also conforms to din 18- 156m [germany] for hydraulically hardening adhesive. It is suitable for fixing at 3-6 mm [ up to 12 mm thickness in areas of limited extent]: ceramic wall and floor tiles, mosaics quarry tiles, marble, terrazo, natural stone, brick slips, and rigid foam insulating materials. It gives enhanced adhesion to fully vitrified tiles and to low porosity substrates. The set adhesive is water resistant and is useful in showers or totally immersed situations like swimming pools. It is also useful on glazed tiles and glazed bricks, when used in conjunction with bal-admix adi. This improves the physical properties of the set adhesives, ie, imparts flexibility, improves adhesion, reduces water permeability and widens application.
