| Ag measurematics has introduced computerized waveform recorder, adsof 4.Transient waveform recording forms an important part in behavioral testing of many products and systems in dynamic conditions. Adsof 4 is state-of-the-art application software compatible with windows 95 and 98. It finds application in study of power line transients, short circuit testing of generators, aircraft engine testing, operation and release characteristics of solenoid valves, contractors and relays, study of force transients created due to impact [tup hammer], and high frequency and turbulence effect on structural components under two-phase hydraulic flow conditions. When the system is used with high speed 16-channel a-d pc add-on card, the computer gets transformed into a transient recording system that replaces uv oscillographic recorders. It can obtain high speed transients, display them as curves on colour monitor, determine time between two cursors, calculate slope of any portion of displayed transient waveform and print the results in form of a test report through an inkjet, laser or dot matrix printer. Up to 16 waveforms can be viewed on the same screen in different columns. It also includes other facilities such as zooming of any programmable pre-trigger interval and record duration, display of x and y coordinates of cursor position [for measurement of the curve], data conversion and storage to files in ascii [text] format for transferring into other programs like excel, lotus 123, grapher, etc. Operator entry screen enables operator to enter test number, part number, type of test, test header, etc, for printout on test report.
