1. frp offers high thermal stability, plus good rigidity and hardness and resistance to creep.
2. epoxy has good composite, electrical properties & chemical resistance. Low shrinkage on curing & can be b-staged.
3. phenolic has good thermal & electrical properties, fire resistance [self-extinguishing]. B-stage possible.
4. polyester offers a wide choice of resins; easy to use, good thermal & electrical properties good chemical resistance.
5. polymide and polyamide-imide has good thermal, composite, electrical & fire properties.
6. polyurethane provides good composite properties & very good chemical resistance. Very high toughness [impact] & good abrasion resistance.
7. silicone has good electrical & thermal properties. Resistant to hydrolysis, oxidation & chemicals. Good fire properties [self-extinguishing]-non-toxic.
8. vinylester has good fatigue & chemical resistance. Excellent composite properties & good toughness.
