the housing is made out of s.G. Iron grade ggg 400. The spiral bevel & helical pairs are made from high tensile carburising alloy steel, 17crnimo6 as per din 17210 - case hardened to 60 ± 2 hrc. The helical teeth profile is ground to class of accuracy 6 as per din 3961-63. The spiral bevel pair is hardened and lapped. The slow speed shaft is made en 24. The output flanged coupling is made out of ck 60 n as per din 17200.
both the pairs are supported on anti-friction bearings. On low speed there is a spherical roller thrust bearing placed at the bottom of the shaft which take care of the static load and dynamic load due to coal mill.
the gear box is installed with existing lub. Oil system for providing necessary amount of oil to various gear meshes and bearing thereby resulting into smooth and trouble free operation.
