| Praj industries offers ecoflux range of corrugated tube heat exchangers, advancement in heat transfer technology. Corrugated tube heat exchangers are shell and tube heat exchangers, which use corrugated tubes instead of plain tubes. The most important feature of this type of heat exchanger is the corrugated tube. These combine the best features of both the plain tube and the plate heat exchanger. The tubes are corrugated to induce turbulence in both flows [product and service] at lower velocities. This not only increases thermal efficiency but also eliminates product channelling. Thermal efficiency is so improved, that for typical thin film applications heat transfer area can be reduced to less than half of that required in a plain tubular heat exchanger. There are three types of corrugated tubes hard, soft and dimple. The type of corrugations are based on corrugation depth, pitch, angle and number of starts to provide the optimum design in terms of area, pressure drop, fouling, etc, for the particular application. These heat exchangers are produced in four configurations: k series construction, multi-tube [for industrial use]; multiple tube construction, mi series [for food industry and pharmaceutical use]; mono tube construction, dt series [for fluids containing particles/fibres]; and annular space construction as series, triple tube.
