Daulat ram industries provides dynamic braking resistors for 25 kv ac locomotives. These dynamic brakes can also control train speed by converting kinetic energy of train to electrical energy. The dynamic braking resistors are available with traction motors that act as generators and convert electrical power to motion. The electrical energy generated is fed to resistor bank, which is forced cool by air circulation and again is destroyed in the resistances in form of heat. This unique feature can provide braking without wear and tear and also minimizes undue problems like wheel skidding, jerks causing uncoupling of hoses and derailments.
