The inherent strength and ingrained superiority of cast polyurethane elastomers make them most appropriate for demanding industrial mechanical, chemical, thermal and electrical applications. Cast polyurethane has high coefficient of friction that leads to versatile applications in frictional drives. Their good electrical and thermal properties, resistance to chemical media and wide working temperature range give additional characteristics to their applications. The cast polyurethane has excellent abrasion resistance together with very high impact and tensile strength and tough tear strength making them versatile for engineering application. Depending on the application, cast polyurethane elastomers can be formulated to exhibit low or high resilience and wide range of hardness.
