Due to these kind of make, they are flexible in bending and strong in tension and shear. Disc couplings are ideally suited for steam and gas turbines; turbo-generators, boiler feed pumps, high-speed compressors, high-speed air blowers, paper machines, etc. Torque is transmitted through pure tension in the flexible elements. The special feature of flexible disc coupling is that it has no wearing parts and doesnt require lubrication. Power transmission capacity - up to 6000kw and speeds - up to 4000 rpm.
