| Joy d-zign engineers has launched insert moulding machine which is designed for insert moulding of small precision themo-plastic components up to 10 gm shot-weight capacity. The insert moulding machine is a vertical clamping-vertical injection, hydraulic, plunger injection moulding machine. Except for manual loading/unloading of inserts and moulded parts, the moulding cycle is completely automatic with a dry cycle time of under 4 seconds. The vertical, direct hydraulic mould locking system develops over 10 tonne of mould locking force. The in-line vertical injection unit slides on two tie-bars. The material feeding system is hydraulic and fully adjustable. In the mould open position the moving platen top is level with the machine table to facilitate loading of the mould between platens. The inserts have to be loaded outside the machine. The moulding cycle can be started as soon as the mould is located on the moving platen. On completion of injection cycle the mould has to be taken out and opened manually to remove components. A full integrated control panel is mounted on the machine table, which provides full control of all machine functions and the machine can be operated in manual or semi-automatic positions. Three digital timers provide control of injection, compaction and cooling time. A digital/pid temperature controller accurately controls barrel temperature. This machine can be operated on 230 v ac domestic power supply.
