| New grand engineering corporation manufactures a variable speed pulley drive to convert any standard constant speed motor to a variable speed, that delivers infinite speed control for any desired speed within the range, instantly, frequently, accurately and smoothly while the machine is in operation. The variable speed pulley is a double coil spring loaded pulley. It comprises two facing cone shaped discs each sliding laterally on a sleeve. Through the medium of an equaliser both halves of the pulley move, which ensure perfect alignment and prevention of undue wear on variable speed belt. The speed variation achieved is 1:3 and in combination with various fixed pulley practically full middle speed range is covered. These drives are used in packing machines, textile machines, machine tools, printing machines, auto cloves, agitators, bottling plants, tanning drums, pumps for various liquids, wood working machines, presses, conveyors, extruders, wire drawing machines, special purpose machines, biscuit and tea processing machines, etc.
