Today, metals can be improved in many aspects and even replaced and this is also more price worthy. Since metals were molten in this world, methods have been developed to rectify the defects like blow holes, pin holes, shrink holes, wrong holes, wrong machining as well as to rectify corrosion, erosion and cavitation defects. Nowadays, cold welding process outstrips the hot welding process because it is easier, less time consuming, as well as the areas where the hot welding creates more problem and chances of distortion of the component and chances of fire are more, cold welding process can be done by non expert with perfect result without any special accessories. Diamant metallplastic gmbh, germany has developed a cold welding product diamant plastic metal in different grades of ferrous and non-ferrous, which is mainly thermo set material, which gets cured within 3-30 minutes with exothermic reactions at room temperature. The decisive factors are: free mix ratios; temperature resistance -40c to +350c; excellent metal character by pure metal fillers to 98%; special alloys for titanium, magnesium, stainless steels; special powders with minerals; under water applications and applications on oily surfaces; reinforcements by, e.G., glass-, carbon; machinable like metal; drilling, milling, grinding, tapping possible; and special grades with 3 min curing time for emergency repair of oil and water leakage. |
